Hooch | Case Study: Social + Influencer

If there’s one thing that Hooch knows for sure, it’s that their audience is all over social: young, outgoing and up for a laugh. To connect with them over the key summer months, they needed a rich social content diary, full of thumb-stopping, hilarious and shareable content. Given our award-winning comedy credentials, they turned to Hotwolf to help deliver a refreshingly Hooch-flavoured set of video zingers, which spoke directly to their audience and brought the brand’s irreverent, no-nonsense sense of fun to life.

Objectives

Hooch is a brand synonymous with comedy. After a successful partnership with Keith Lemon, they wanted to broaden appeal, promote awareness, buzz and talk-ability with a summer of fun content across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube using a new hashtag – #HoochLife.

To gain further visibility and target-audience credibility, we worked with carefully-selected influencers to co-produce branded videos and widen the campaign.

Deliverables

Hotwolf created 12 original videos and a series of influencer videos with on-target social stars Goubtube and Woody & Kleiny. Original, funny, seasonal and totally in-character for the no-nonsense brand, our particular favourite is perfume ad spoof “Eau D’Ooch” – click the thumbnail to the left for a refreshing take on alcohol marketing.

Results

With over 5.5M views and nearly 80,000 engagements across the campaign period, we smashed agreed targets and exceeded client expectations. Hopefully it's just a matter of time before we see an actual Eau D'Ooch fragrance on the shelves...
